Born in Baulkham Hills, New South Wales, Mitchell Starc began his career at the Berala Sports Cricket Club in Sydney. Originally Mitchell was a wicket keeper, before being convinced to give away the gloves and take up fast bowling.
Starc made his One Day International debut for Australia in 2010 and found his name in the Australian test side one year later in 2011. His 197cm frame, matched with an ability to clock speeds in excess of 150km/h, makes him one of world Cricket’s premier fast bowlers. Mitchell’s career has been full of highlights, being named the 2015 Cricket World Cup player of the tournament.
At only 27 years old, Mitchell has over 150 international test wickets and with the Ashes coming up this summer, he’ll be looking to continue his strong form well into 2018.
